Overview

Each year, this signature event brings together friends, neighbors, and partners who believe in the power of second chances. The night will feature powerful stories of transformation, our featured guest, Ian Manuel, in conversation with Fr. Dustin Feddon, and an opportunity to invest in the mission of Joseph House: providing a safe, supportive home and community for men returning to society after incarceration.

This year’s gala promises to be our most impactful yet—filled with energy, hope, and a shared vision of building a brighter future. Whether you attend as a guest or bring friends as a Table Host, you’ll be part of an evening that changes lives. Together, we’ll celebrate dreams restored, dignity renewed, and the community we are building—one story at a time. We hope to see you there!

Questions and Answers

Is there a cost to attend the gala?

No, there is no cost to attend. We want guests—especially those who may be learning about Joseph House for the first time—to feel completely free and unencumbered by cost. During the evening, there will be a chance to make a donation in support of our mission.

Do I have to pay to be a Table Host? What does it mean to sign up as one?

Becoming a Table Host is also free! As a host, you’ll be expected to fill a table of 10 by inviting friends, family, or colleagues who you think would be inspired by Joseph House’s mission. It’s a simple but powerful way to help us grow our community of support.

Who is this year's guest speaker?

We are honored to welcome Ian Manuel, author of the memoir, My Time Will Come. At just fifteen years old, Ian was sentenced to life in prison and spent 18 years in prison and solitary confinement. His powerful story of resilience and redemption shines a light on the importance of second chances and the hope we strive to build at Joseph House.

Is dinner included? What should I wear?

Yes! A full dinner is provided for all guests as part of the evening. Dress is semi-formal. Think cocktail attire—something polished but comfortable for a celebratory evening.

Will there be an opportunity to give?

Yes! While there is no cost to attend, you will be given a chance to partner with Joseph House in our mission of providing second chances.

Welcome to Joseph House

We are a reentry home and community for men released from prison.

We are more than a halfway house - we are a home.

Why We Exist

Joseph House exists because 95% of the 100,000 men and women currently incarcerated in Florida will be released. Without support services, two-thirds will return to prison within three years.
