A Story of Hope
Fr. Dustin Feddon is a Catholic priest of the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee and the Founder and Executive Director of Joseph House, a home and community for men returning from prison. His ministry began in 2013, visiting incarcerated men in Florida’s prisons—many in solitary confinement—where he witnessed both their immense suffering and deep humanity.
These encounters sparked a vision: to create a place of peace, dignity, and belonging for men leaving prison. That vision became a reality in 2018 with the founding of Joseph House.
Fr. Dustin believes that justice begins with proximity to those who suffer. His mission is to affirm the worth of each person by offering not just shelter, but a space filled with quiet, nature, and community—where men are reminded that they are seen, valued, and not alone.
Joseph House has partnered with organizations such as the Equal Justice Initiative and the Legal Defense Fund to advocate for greater justice and mercy for those impacted by incarceration.
“We are making a radical statement,” he says, “that at the moment they are released from prison, they have a place and a people to whom they belong.”

You can help bring hope to the hopeless, too.
And we can give you that opportunity. The United States has the highest incarceration rate of any country in the world. In Florida, we incarcerate our population at a rate higher than any independent democracy on earth. But we are not without hope. The statistics tell us without support services, two-thirds of those released will return to prison within three years. Joseph House is breaking that cycle, and you can help us do it.
Your donation helps make a house a home for those vulnerable in our society. Your generosity brings hope. And because of people like you, we are breaking the cycle, once and for all.

"This extraordinary book is a testament to the power of grace and kindness to heal. We should all learn from it."
